It is common to use a full set of clothing, including underwear, socks or stockings, and sometime even shoes if so desired.  The clothing you select for your loved one should be reflective of the individual they were.  For example, if the deceased was not one to ever where a suit, then a suit may not be what they should be clothed in.  Use clothing that you are used to seeing the deceased in.  If they wore blue jeans and button down shirts, then that is what should be considered. 

We encourage personalizing the service.  One way to do this is by the clothing that is selected.  Some like the idea of wearing night gowns or pajamas, because they are at eternal rest now.   Others choose to clothe the deceased in a favorite sweatshirt, blue jeans and ball cap.  The clothing should be a reflection of the life the deceased lived.
